While in Trinidad, we stayed in Casa Elio Ramos. The beautiful colonial house was perfectly located to explore this wonderful World Heritage Site.

It felt quite modern compared to other casas in Cuba. I loved our room with the large windows and two rocking chairs. It was spacious and clean and the brand new bathroom was spotless and shiny. We even had our own private bar!

Romeo y Julieta and Cohiba cigars were also on display for the guests.

As per our request, we were accommodated on the second floor which had a great view of the street and a lovely terrace on the other side of the house, where we enjoyed our breakfast.

Even though the street was quite busy, it didn’t feel too noisy and we had a good night sleep on both nights. It was quite nice to wake up to the locals shouting about. As soon as I heard someone selling things on the street, I knew it was time to wake up, no need to set an alarm.

Elio spoke perfect English and was very resourceful. Everything we needed was organised for us immediately. He arranged bikes for us and also a taxi to take us to Cayo Guillermo after our stay in Trinidad.
